Getting ready for school

Today Cole got to use his brand new stool and he brushed his teeth like a big boy, facing the mirror.  Climbed up by himself, got just a little help with the toothpaste and went scrubbing away.



And of course the ride to school requires some cool shades while wearing his red "fireman" hoodie.

But guess what we did after school?!?!




We FINALLY did our "one year old" photo shoot!  We've been putting off for over year.  Either the weather was bad, or Cole was sick, or had an injury on his face.  All this time...but I definitely think it was worth the wait! We went out to Santa Monica pier and Cole was a real star.  Trina was fantastic with him and we think we got some really really good shots.  We're expecting the full set of pictures in the next 2-3 weeks.  So this is just a teeny-tiny preview of how it went down....

Bert and Danielle came over for brunch today.  Lila is 5-1/2 months old and had a great time playing with Cole.

He's such a copy cat.  When she was having a bottle of milk, he wanted one too.  When she was laying down on her daddy's lap, Cole laid down on Talia's lap. 

On the floor, Lila was just learning to crawl and kicked her feet, so he got on the floor and started kicking too.
